Hirakud Dam Water Level Rises After Chhattisgarh Opens 17 Gates Of Kalma Barrage

Bhubaneswar: The water flow of the Hirakud Reservoir increased after all 66 gates of Kalma Barrage in Chhattisgarh were opened.

Reportedly, the gates were opened in view of the heavy rainfall in the upper catchment.

The water level of the dam was 603.67 feet against a full capacity of 630 feet with an inflow of 79,262 cusecs and an outflow of 29,772 cusecs at 12 pm.
