Home Minister Amit Shah launches MBBS Hindi Text book

Madhya Pradesh: Union Minister Amit Shah released textbooks in Hindi for three subjects for MBBS students in Madhya Pradesh on Sunday. The launching of the book is a part of an ambitious project of Madhya Pradesh government to impart medical education in the Hindi language.

Madhya Pradesh has become the first state in the country to start the Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) in Hindi.

“The day will be written in history with golden letters,” Amit Shah said while unveiling the textbooks of medical biochemistry, anatomy, and medical physiology subjects in Hindi for the MBBS at a function in Bhopal.

The MBBS course in Hindi was launched as part of the National Education Policy and soon it will be available in other languages also, he added.

The launching program took place in the presence of MP Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Medical Education Minister Vishvas Sarang.

Vishvas Sarang informed that a team of 97 doctors prepared these textbooks in a mission mode to start the course in Hindi.

Mr. Chouhan said that students from rural areas who were unable to get medical education because of the language barrier will now not lag behind and will be able to pursue the MBBS course in Hindi.
