UP Youth Posing As Singapore Airlines Pilot Nabbed At Delhi Airport

New Delhi: A 24-year-old man from Uttar Pradesh, who was impersonating as a pilot of the Singapore Airlines was nabbed by the paramilitary forces at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport on Thursday.

The imposter was identified as Sangeet Singh from Uttar Pradesh’s Gautam Buddha Nagar. He was found by the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel near the airport skywalk. He wore a pilot’s uniform and even had an ID card around his neck, claiming to be a pilot of Singapore Airlines.

But investigation revealed that he was an imposter, who was using a counterfeit ID card of Singapore Airlines. He had procured the pilot’s uniform from the Dwarka area of Delhi.

According to the police sources, in 2020 Singh completed a one-year aviation hospitality course in Mumbai. But he had misled his own family into believing that he was a commercial pilot with Singapore Airlines.
