If on Sick Leave, Don’t Upload Your Dance Video on Social Media

A woman from Spain, who was on sick leave claiming to be suffering back injury, was found to have uploaded a video of her dance performance on TikTok. This female supermarket employee was immediately removed from her job by the company. Court also termed her dismissal to be correct.

According to a report in the Newsweek, the High Court of Justice of Castile and Leon in Spain ratified the dismissal of an unnamed female supermarket employee who lost her job after she uploaded videos on TikTok when she was supposed to be off work with lower back pain.

The videos uploaded by the woman were accepted as conclusive evidence of her deceit.

As per media reports, this female employee had taken almost nine months leave in the name of lower back injury and pain. She had submitted medical reports to support her back pain claim.

The High Court of Justice of Castile and Leon remarked that the dance steps and movements executed by the woman in the video were “incompatible with her ailments, the Newsweek report said.
