IMD Issues Yellow Warning for All Districts of Odisha

Bhubaneswar: The regional center of the Indian Meteorological Department said that scattered to fairly widespread thunderstorms with rain, lightning, isolated hail, and gusty surface wind are very likely in some districts of the state.

Day 1

Yellow Warning: Thunderstorms with lightning and gusty surface wind with speeds reaching up to 40-50 kmph are very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Khordha, Puri, Nayagarh, Gajapati, Ganjam, Nabarangpur, Rayagada, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Nuapada, and Bolangir.

Day 2

Yellow Warning: Thunderstorm with lightning and gusty surface wind speed reaching up to 30-40 kmph is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Bargarh, Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Sambalpur, Bolangir, Nuapada, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Sonepur, Gajapati, Ganjam, Rayagada, Malkangiri and Koraput.

Day 3

Yellow Warning: Thunderstorm with lightning and gusty surface wind with speeds reaching up to 40-50 kmph is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Kendrapada, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Khordha, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Angul, Dhenkanal, Kandhamal, Kalahandi, Nabarangpur, Malkangiri, Koraput, and Rayagada. Hailstorms at one or two places over the districts of Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Koraput, Rayagada, and Nabarangpur.

Day 4

Yellow Warning: Thunderstorm with lightning is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Bhadrak, Balasore, Kendrapada, Jajpur, Jagatsinghpur, Cuttack, Dhenkanal, Mayurbhanj, Khordha, Kandhamal, Boudh, Nayagarh & Keonjhar.
