Dubai to Have World’s Largest Airport With 5 Runways, 400 Aircraft Gates

Dubai’s ruler Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum on Sunday declared a new airport project worth nearly 35 billion US Dollars (Rs 2.9 lakh crore).

This new airport will be called the Al Maktoum International Airport. It will is said to become the largest airport in the world with five parallel runways, a capacity to host 26 crore passengers and 400 aircraft gates.

All operations at Dubai International Airport will be transferred to this new airport, which will be five times the size of the current airport.

An entire city will be built around the new airport in Dubai South.
