IMD Issues Yellow Warning for Over 17 Districts of Odisha

Bhubaneswar: The regional center of the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) issued a yellow warning of thunderstorms for several places of at least 17 districts in Odisha for the next 24 hours.

Thunderstorms with lightning and gusty surface wind speeds reaching 40-50 kmph are very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khordha, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Mayurbhanj, Kandhamal, Rayagada, Koraput, Keonjhar and Dhenkanal from today till Monday morning.

Thunderstorm and lightning warning has also been issued for one or two places over the districts of Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Gajapati, Rayagada, Kandhamal, Kalahandi, Nabarangpur, Koraput, and Malkangiri between April 10 morning and April 11 morning.

Light to moderate rain or thunderstorm is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Gajapati, Rayagada, Nabarangpur, Koraput, and Malkangiri between April 11 morning and April 12 morning.
