The IMD has issued a yellow warning for thunderstorms with lightning and gusty surface wind speed reaching 40-50 kmph at one or two places in Sundargarh, Deogarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Angul, Dhenkanal, Sambalpur, Jharsuguda, Sonepur, Boudh, and Kandhamal districts. At the same time, thunderstorms with lightning are very likely to occur at one or two places in Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Rayagada, Malkangiri, and Koraput districts today.

Moreover, one or two places in Koraput, Malkangiri, Gajapati, Ganjam, and Mayurbhanj districts are likely to experience heavy rain on Wednesday.
