Indore: Team India and Australia will head into the third Test of the four-match series at Holkar Stadium in Indore.
The match will start at 9:30 am. Both sides enjoyed a nine-day rest after the second Test in Delhi, The Men in Blue won the first Test by innings and 132 runs and the second Test by six wickets.
Despite, the loss Australia are currently topping the WTC points table with 136 points. While India is placed second with 123 points. India is one win away from securing their berth in the World Test Championship final, scheduled for The Oval in London in June.
The beleaguered Aussies will miss the services of their regular Test skipper Pat Cummins, who has returned to Sydney to be with his ailing mother. Former captain Steve Smith will be leading the side for the third Test in Indore.
The third Test was originally supposed to take place in Dharamshala but was shifted to Indore as the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association (HPCA) couldn’t get the stadium ready in time. Always known for being a batting paradise, the pitch in Indore for the third Test will likely turn out the same, especially during the first two days.
