India’s 1st President Rajendra Prasad’s Birth Anniversary; Prez, Vice Prez, PM & Odisha CM Pay Tribute

New Delhi: Dr. Rajendra Prasad, the first President of India was born on December 3, 1884. The nation is celebrating his 138th birth anniversary this year. On this occasion, several important personalities paid tribute to the first President of India.

Present President of India, Droupadi Murmu offered floral tributes to Dr. Rajendra Prasad, the first President of India, on his birth anniversary at Rashtrapati Bhavan.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted, “Remembering Dr. Rajendra Prasad Ji on his birth anniversary. A legendary leader, he epitomized courage and scholarly zeal. He was firmly rooted in India’s culture and also had a futuristic vision for India’s growth.”

The current Vice President of India, Jagdeep Dhankar also paid tribute to Dr. Rajendra Prasad. He tweeted, “Remembering former President Dr. Rajendra Prasad on his birth anniversary. One of the chief architects of modern India, Dr. Rajendra Prasad played a pivotal role in shaping the destiny of our nation. He will always be remembered for his simplicity, integrity & compassion for all.”

Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik paid homage by tweeting, “Rich tributes to great freedom fighter, an exemplary leader and first President of India, Bharat Ratna Dr. #RajendraPrasad on his birth anniversary. He was a true Gandhian. His leadership in drafting Constitution and contribution towards nation-building will be remembered forever.”
