Kanjhawala Hit-and-Drag case Accused Gets Bail from Delhi Court

New Delhi: Ashutosh Bhardwaj, one of the accused in gruesome Kanjhawala hit-and-drag case was granted bail by a Delhi court on Tuesday.

The order on Bhardwaj’s bail plea was kept reserved by the Additional Sessions Judge Susheel Bala Dagar on Monday. Bhardwaj is admitted to bail on furnishing a bail bond of Rs 50,000, the judge said on Tuesday.

The judge orally stated that Bhardwaj’s role started after the commission of the offence.

The victim of the Kanjhawala incident, Anjali Singh (20) was killed in the early hours of New Year’s Day when her scooter was hit by a car, which dragged her for more than 12 kilometres from Sultanpur to Kanjhawala in Delhi.
