Kindly Don’t Politicise My Father’s Death Issue: Naba Das’ Daughter Dipali

Bhubaneswar: Amid the ongoing political slugfest between the ruling and opposition party over the assassination of Naba Das, the deceased’s daughter has appealed to all not to politicise the matter.

Speaking to media persons, Dipali said, “We have never thought that something like this will happen. My family is really disturbed. So, I request everyone not politicise the matter as it is a very sensitive case.”

“The Crime Branch is probing the case under the supervision of an able judge. I cannot comment on the investigation as the probe is yet to be completed. But, we have faith in CM Naveen Patnaik and are hopeful of getting justice,” she added.

“I extend my gratitude to the entire Odisha for supporting my family during the tragic time. After my father’s demise, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has also stood by my family. I am also obliged for the sympathy of Jharsuguda residents, BJD leaders and other political parties,” Dipali said.

“I cannot comment on this. But, we will respect whatever decision CM Naveen will take,” she further added.

Notably, the accused ASI had opened fire on Health Minister Naba Das during an event at Brajarajnagar in Jharsuguda district on January 29. The minister succumbed to his injuries while being treated at a private hospital here on the same day.
