Kolkata Woman Kills Her Newborn After Giving Birth in Toilet

Kolkata: A woman allegedly gave birth to a baby inside the toilet of her house, but preferred to kill the newborn a few minutes after. This incident happened in the Kasba area of Kolkata on April 22.

According to police sources, the woman threw her newborn out of the window. She had given birth to a male child. She claimed before the police that she was not aware of her pregnancy. When she gave birth to the baby boy, she got perplexed by hearing the newborn cry. According to her because of it, she threw the newborn out of the window after breaking the window pane.

Locals found the newborn on the ground and reported it to the police. The baby died after a day. The woman was located in a bleeding condition after childbirth.

Initial investigation has hinted that the woman is suffering from some mental disorder. She got married in November 2022. Her husband is an alcoholic. Neither her husband nor her family members knew that she was pregnant.
