Lady Blackmailer Case: Archana Nag Gets Conditional Bail

Bhubaneswar: The Orissa High Court today granted conditional bail to sextortion accused Archana Nag in a blackmailing case filed by Ollywood producer Akshay Parija.

Earlier, a conditional bail has been granted to Jagabandhu Chand, husband of the sextortion case main accused Archana Nag by the Orissa High Court.

Chand got bail in connection with a complaint filed by another accused, Shradhanjali Behera at Khandagiri police station.

While three cases have been filed against Jagabandhu, he got bail in the honeytrap case involving Archana’s aide Shradhanjali.

However, the conditions put forth by the court are yet to be cleared.

As the investigation into the case is yet to be completed, it is expected that Jagabandhu has been told by the Court to cooperate in the investigation process, not to intimidate the witnesses, and not to go outside the State or country without the permission of the Court.

Jagabandhu is facing two more cases–allegedly extorting money from influential people by blackmailing them with objectionable videos and an ED case.

Earlier in Shradhanjali’s complaint lodged at the Khandagiri police station, she had alleged that she was used by Archana in the racket. Shradhanjali had also alleged that Archana forced women into prostitution and she was a victim of the racket.
