LPG Blast in Sambalpur; 4 Fire Service Personnel Severely Injured

Sambalpur: Four fire service personnel sustain severe burn injuries after an LPG cylinder blast near Chownagarpur Bazar under Burla police station in Odisha’s Sambalpur district. The personnel were injured during a firefighting operation following the blast.

According to sources, a fire broke out in a tea shop. On being informed, the firefighters reached the spot and were trying to douse the flame when the tragic incident took place.

Out of the total Fire Service personnel, the condition of two is said to be critical. They have been shifted to SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack. While the other two are undergoing treatment at Burla Medical College and Hospital in Sambalpur.

Burla police reached the spot and started an investigation.
