Man Electrocuted To Death While Installing CCTV For Rath Yatra In Puri

Puri: A man was critically injured due to electrocution while installing CCTV cameras for the ensuing Rath Yatra festival in Odisha’s Puri district.

The deceased has been identified as Rakesh Nayak.

According to reports, the incident took place while Rakesh climbed a pole to install a CCTV in Puri town today when he pulled a wire that came in contact with a live wire. Rakesh immediately fell to the ground and was in an unconscious state.

The injured was immediately rushed to Puri District Headquarters Hospital where the doctors declared him ‘brought dead’.

Upon being informed, police reached the spot and initiated an investigation in this regard.
