Man Sets Himself Ablaze at UP Police Station, Saved by Cops

Lucknow: A man attempted self-immolation outside a police station in Uttar Pradesh’s Shahjahanpur on Tuesday.

The man identified as Tahir Ali, likely in his 40s, has been admitted to a hospital. According to police sources, he allegedly poured petrol on his body and set himself on fire.

The policemen present there immediately rushed into action and saved him.

People standing nearby recorded videos of his act. Around 10 to 12 police personnel tried hard to save the man by extinguishing the fire using blankets.

Local police are investigating the reason behind the drastic action taken by the man.
