Man Thrashes 8-Yr-Old Daughter to Death As She Quarrelled With Sister for Toy in Chhattisgarh

Raipur: A man in Chhattisgarh beat his eight-year-old daughter to death and also seriously injured her nine-year-old sister when they quarreled over a toy.

According to police sources, Salman Ali (35), a mechanic, lost his cool when he saw his daughters Alisha Parveen (8) and Alina Parveen (9) fighting over a toy at their home in Janjgir-Champa. According to villagers, the accused kicked and punched both girls and also used a belt to beat them. Hearing the scream sof these children, the neighbours rushed to the spot and rescued them.

The seriously injured were rushed to the hospital by neighbours, where Alisha was declared dead. Her older sister, Alina, is in critical condition.

The police took Alisha’s body into custody and sent it for postmortem investigation. Salman has also been taken into custody for interrogation.

Salman’s wife had separated from him due to frequent fights. After that Salman was looking after both daughters. Their mother visited them occasionally.
