Manish Sisodia’s Bail Plea Deferred; To be Heard on March 10

New Delhi:  CBI court has deferred Manish Sisodia’s bail plea. Manish Sisodia, the former deputy Chief Minister of Delhi, was produced before Rouse Avenue District Court on Saturday.

In the bail plea, Sisodia mentioned that keeping him in custody will serve no fruitful purpose as all the recoveries in the case have already been made.

He was arrested by the CBI for alleged corruption in the formulation and implementation of the now-scrapped liquor policy for 2021–22 in the national capital.

For unversed, on Sunday, Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia was arrested by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) after eight hours of questioning.

The CBI claimed that he was giving evasive replies and wasn’t cooperating in the ongoing investigation of the liquor scam case. Later, the CBI released a statement on Sisodia’s arrest, claiming that he was not cooperating with the investigation in the liquor scam case.
