Speeding Truck Crushes 3 Bikers to Death in Sundargarh District

Sundargarh: Three bike riders died when a speeding truck ran over them near Darlipali NTPC Power plant under Bhasma police station limits in Sundargarh district late Thursday night.

The deceased were identified as Ranjan Pradhan, Asish Bhoi and Rupak Dhua of the same area.

The fly ash-loaded truck escaped from the spot after causing the accident. As the incident took place late night, the bodies of the victims were discovered on Friday morning.

Locals blocked the road at the accident spot demanding compensation for the families of the deceased as well as restriction on illegal parking by the roadside. This disrupted vehicular movement near the Super Thermal Power Station at Darlipali. Local police reached the spot to pacify the agitating locals.

Police sent the bodies for post-mortem and an investigation has been initiated to track down the accident causing truck driver.
