Minor Abducted, Sexually Harassed in Hyderabad; Kin Alleges Inaction of Cops

Bihar: A 15-year-old girl was allegedly abducted by a man from a village under Kako police limits in Bihar’s Jehanabad town and sexually harassed her for two months in Hyderabad.

The matter came to the fore after the minor’s mother told the same to the local police. However, she alleged that the cops did not register her plaint.

The victim’s mother told that a youth of the village, whose name is Chandan, lured her 15-year-old girl to Hyderabad on July 25, where he locked her in a room and sexually abused her for two months.

On July 26, a complaint was made to the Kako police station for the search of the girl, but the Kako police station did not even register the complaint. The victim’s mother told that after two months i.e. on September 25, once again she met the police station in charge, after which on the initiative of the police, the girl returned to her home from Hyderabad, but in this case neither the accused boy was caught nor any action was taken.

The victim’s mother accused the SHO and said that when she talked about further action from the SHO, the SHO, citing the honor of her daughter, drove her away from the police station. In the end, her mother reached the public court of the SP regarding the victim and narrated her ordeal to the SP. The SHO of Kako police station told in this case that the victim’s mother had reached her police station, after which the police took action and took the accused into custody, but after the written complaint of the girl’s family members, the accused was released.

On Friday, the victim’s mother along with her child reached the public court of SP. In this regard, SP Deepak Ranjan said that the matter has come to my notice. In this case, the SDPO and the SHO of Kako police station have been directed to arrest the accused by registering an FIR and further action is being taken.
