MP CM Washes Feet of Tribal Labourer on Whom a Man Had Urinated

Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan washed the feet of the tribal labourer, on whom a man had allegedly urinated. Chouhan resorted to this symbolic gesture at his official residence on Thursday.

The CM also asked for an apology from the labourer for the inhuman incident.

Pravesh Shukla, the man who was caught on camera urinating on the labourer, was arrested on the intervening night of Tuesday and Wednesday.

His inhuman act is viral on social media. It had led to an Opposition uproar in Madhya Pradesh.

Shivraj Singh Chouhan ordered “strict punishment” for the culprit. The accused was booked under the National Security Act (NSA) and under Sections 294 (Obscene acts) and 504 (Intentional insult to provoke breach of the peace) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), and the SC/ST Act.
