Naba Das Murder Case: Das’ PSO Suspended; IIC, SI Transferred

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Health Minister Late Naba Das’ Personal Security Officer (PSO) Mitrabhanu Deo suspended from service over dereliction of duty.

At the same time, Brajarajnagar Police Station IIC Pradyumna Kumar Swain and Gandhi Chhak police outpost in-charge SI Sashibhusan Podha were transferred.

IIC Pradyumna Kumar Swain was transferred to Sambalpur district police headquarters. SI Sashibhusan Podha was transferred to Sonepur district police headquarters.

Earlier yesterday, Jharsuguda SP Rahul Jain was transferred to the State Police Headquarters in Cuttack. Brajarajnagar SDPO Gupteswar Bhoi was also transferred and attached to the State Police Headquarters.

It is pertinent to mention, state health minister Naba Das was allegedly shot in the chest by Gopal Das at Gandhi Chhak in Brajrajnagar area of Jharsuguda district on January 29.
