Naba Das Murder: Narasingha Mishra Comes Down Heavily On BJD, Says Planned Murder

Bhubaneswar: Former Odisha Health Minister Nabakishore Das’s ghastly murder has raised questions on security concerns for the lawmakers.

Almost every opposition leader has targeted the Odisha government and demanded CM Naveen’s resignation on this ground.

Coming down heavily on the ruling BJD government over the deteriorating law and order situation, senior Congress leader Narasingha Mishra termed the mishap as planned murder.

Mishra made some explosive statements regarding Das’ assassination, saying it is totally not acceptable the way the accused ASI is being labelled as mentally ill.

“This is a planned murder. There must be many mysteries shrouding the minister’s death. If the accused ASI is mentally unstable, the State should be held responsible for Das’ death,” said Bolangir MLA while speaking to media persons.

“The minister’s killing clearly shows that nobody is safe in the state. Till now we have not been able to understand how the Home Department in Odisha is functioning. The way the ASI shot the minister, clearly shows there is absolutely no law and order in Odisha. People are being killed inside jails and ministers on road. Hence, the CM Naveen Patnaik should resign,” demanded Mishra.

“If the ASI was mentally ill, the state government is completely responsible for it. The killing clearly suggests that the intelligence unit is not working,” said Mishra.
