Nail clipper removed from 8-months baby throat surgically

Nashik: A nail clipper was removed from the throat of an eight-month-old boy after he swallowed it accidentally. The small boy swallowed a 5 cm nail cutter while he was playing, and was immediately taken to the hospital once his parents had noticed.

The kid was operated on at Dr. Vasantrao Pawar Medical College in Adgaon. X-rays show the 5 cm long nail clipper wedged in the boy’s throat, almost blocking his entire throat and making him stifle.

Medics removed the object in an hour-long operation, and the child is now recovering after the procedure.
