Odisha DGP Selection Process On, 3 Senior IPS Asked To Submit Bio-Data

 

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has started the process to select the new Director General (DG) of Police. In the latest notification, the State Police Headquarters has sought bio-data from three IPS officers – AK Ray, SM Narvane, and YB Khurania.

The IPS officer AK Ray is now posted as Director Printing, Stationary and Publication. YB Khurania is now posted as Special Director General in BSF and SM Narvane is posted as the OSD, Home Department.

Recently, the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet had approved the proposal of the Union Ministry of Home Affairs to repatriate 1990-batch IPS officer YB Khurania to his parent cadre Odisha.

All three IPS officials have been asked to furnish a proposal for convening the Empanelment Committee Meeting for the selection of the DGP (HoPF) for the state of Odisha.

The notification reads, “Please furnish your bio-data covering all the points in the prescribed format including academic achievements by return fax onward submission to the Home Department, Government of Odisha.
