Odisha Government Announces 4% Hike in DA

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has announced a hike in the Dearness Allowance (DA) for the State government employees ahead of New Year 2023.

According to the latest notification, the State government has increased the Dearness Allowance (DA) by four per cent.

The hike in DA and TI for government employees and pensioners was approved by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.

The hike in DA will be effective retrospectively from July 1, 2022, the official notification read.

Earlier in September, the Odisha government announced a hike in DA in favour of the State Government Employees, covered under the ORSP Rules, 2017.

The decision to increase the dearness allowance by three per cent to 34 per cent from the existing 31 per cent in September, was taken after considering the overall financial resources and fiscal target stipulated under Odisha Fiscal Responsibility and Budget Management Act, 2005.
