Odisha Triple Train Crash: 5 More Trains Cancelled, Diverts Route Of Another

Bhubaneswar: Five more trains were cancelled and many were diverted to other routes following the major train accident in Odisha’s Balasore district on Friday that killed 288 passengers.

The trains that have been cancelled on Wednesday include the following:

  • 18410 – Puri-Shalimar Sri Jagannath Express
  • 12882 – Puri-Shalimar Garib Rath
  • 22606 – Purulia Express
  • 12840 – MGR Chennai Central-Howrah Mail
  • 12868 – Puducherry-Howrah Weekly Superfast Express

In addition, the ECoR informed that the route of train No. 20831 – Mahima Gosain Express has been diverted.

Notably, The three-way accident involved Bengaluru-Howrah superfast express, the Coromandel Express and goods train on three separate tracks at Bahanagar in Odisha’s Balasore district.
