Bhubaneswar: Odisha Vigilance has raided the Forest Ranger Officer of Kegaon forest range in Odisha’s Kalahandi district. The raid was conducted on allegations of possession of disproportionate assets.
The accused was identified as Keshab Majhi, Forest Range Officer of Kegaon Forest Range.
As per Vigilance, five teams led by DSPs conducted raids at four places on the strength of warrants issued by Special Judge, Vigilance, Bhawanipatna.
The four places where raids are being conducted are the Residential triple storied building at OM Nagar, Kesinga Town; the Office chamber of Majhi located at Kegaon; the Residential government quarter at Kegaon; and Majhi’s residential house at Brahmani village under Kesinga police limits.
Further probe is underway. More details are awaited.
