Poonch Attack: 3 Foreign Terrorists Among 5 Key Suspects; NIA Takes Up Probe

New Delhi: Initial investigation has revealed that the Poonch terrorist attack was carried out five persons including three foreign terrorists, reported the Tribune. The sources said the security agencies were also verifying the claim by Jaish-backed terror group People’s Anti-Fascist Front, which took the responsibility for carrying out the attack.

Meanwhile, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) has taken over the investigation into the terror attack in Poonch in which five Army jawans were martyred. An NIA team visited the spot and collected samples.

Drones, sniffer dogs, MI helicopters are being used in the search operation to track down and eliminate the terrorists behind the attack.

Forest area of Bata-Doriya is being searched. Entire area of Tota-Gali-Bata Doriya is cordoned off. Top officials of the Indian Army and police are monitoring the search operation.

The team scanned the area to look for clues to figure out the direction from where the terrorists launched the attack on the moving Army truck between Bhimber Gali and Poonch.
