Prime Accused of Bhubaneswar Gang Rape Case Arrested

Bhubaneswar: The prime accused of the Bhubaneswar gang rape case arrested by the Government Railway Police (GRP) today.

On Monday, two minor girls were allegedly gang-raped after being abducted in Bhubaneswar.

The matter came to light after the victims’ parents on Tuesday registered a complaint with the GRP.

According to the complaint, two miscreants abducted the minor girls from the Patia Railway Station area on Monday night.

They took the girls to a secluded place and took turns raping them. The survivor duo somehow managed to reach their houses on Tuesday morning and narrated their ordeal before their parents.

After listening to everything, the victims’ parents took the matter up with Childline and later, with the help of Childline officials, the mother of one of the survivors lodged a complaint with the GRP.

After registering a case, the GRP launched a probe into the case and arrested the main accused. Further investigations are underway.
