“Produce Imran Khan in Court in 1 Hour”: Supreme Court of Pakistan

Pakistan Supreme Court on Thursday afternoon ordered officials to present the PTI chief and former Prime Minister Imran Khan before the court in one hour.

Meanwhile, Pakistan’s Supreme Court is likely to hear Imran Khan’s plea challenging the Islamabad high court verdict which declared that his arrest was ‘legal’.

Imran Khan’s arrest in the Al-Qadir Trust case on Tuesday sparked off violent protests by his supporters throughout Pakistan. Clashes occurred between PTI supporters and police in several cities. As per reports, at least eight persons died and several others were injured in these clashes following Imran Khan’s arrest.

Angry protesters ransacked a radio station. They clashed with police in the capital of Islamabad. They attacked the Lahore residence of Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
