Puri-Gunupur Passenger Train Derails Near Puri; No Casualties

Puri: A compartment of a passenger train derailed at Puri Railway Station on Tuesday. Fortunately, no causality was reported.

According to reports, the mishap took place while the Puri-Gunupur passenger train was reversing when the last bogie of the train jumped off the tracks.

However, the reason for the accident has not yet been ascertained immediately. Senior officials have reached the spot and launched rescue and the relief operation.

Train communication on the route has been partially disrupted. The railway department expedited the track repair work to restore normalcy.
