Rain, Thunderstorm on Cards in next 5 Days in Odisha Districts

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Friday forecast thunderstorms and heavy rainfall in several parts of Odisha in the next five days. Thunderstorm with lightning, hail and gusty surface wind speed reaching 40-50 kmph is likely to occur at one or two places of the state. IMD also issued an ‘Orange’ warning for some districts.

Yellow Warning: Thunderstorm with lightning and gusty surface wind speed reaching 30-40 kmph is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Keonjhar ,Mayurbhanj, Angul ,Dhenkanal ,Kalahandi ,Kandhamal ,Rayagada ,Koraput ,Malkangiri, Nabarangpur.

Hailstorm likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Koraput, Gajapati, Ganjam, Mayurbhanj, Balasore.

Yellow Warning: Thunderstorm with lightning and gusty surface wind speed reaching 30-40 kmph very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Mayurbhanj, Angul, Dhenkanal, Kandhamal.

Orange Warning: Thunderstorm with lightening, Hail and gusty surface wind speed reaching 40-50 kmph very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Nabarangpur, Nuapada , Bolangir ,Bargarh, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj.

Heavy rainfall likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Nabarangpur, Nuapada ,Bargarh, Jharsuguda, Sundargarh.

Yellow Warning: Thunderstorm with lightning and gusty surface wind speed reaching 30-40 kmph very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Deogarh, Angul, Dhenkanal, Sonepur, Boudh, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Rayagada, Koraput, Malkangiri, Cuttack, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur.
