Rapist Godman Ram Rahim Cuts Huge Cake with Sword after Coming out of Jail on Parole

New Delhi: Rape and murder convict fake godman Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh was seen to be celebrating his release from jail on parole. A video of Ram Rahim cutting a large cake with a sword on Monday has gone viral on social media.

It may be noted that the public display of weapons that includes the display of the sword with which Ram Rahim cuts the cake is prohibited under the Arms Act, said legal experts.

He is now serving a 20-year jail term for raping two of his disciples. After getting parole, he was released from the Sunaria prison in Haryana’s Rohtak on January 21.

He is now on a 40-day parole. Getting out of jail he reached his Barnawa Ashram in Uttar Pradesh’s Baghpat.

On Monday, Ram Rahim virtually inaugurated a mega cleanliness campaign organised by Dera volunteers in different places of Haryana and in some other states. Some senior BJP leaders including Rajya Sabha MP Krishan Lal Panwar and former minister Krishan Kumar Bedi took part in it.

The convicted Dera chief is getting parole too easily. He was granted parole in October 2022.

In August 2017 he was convicted by a special CBI court. In 2019, he and three others were found guilty of in the case of a journalist’s murder.
