Rape Convict Ram Rahim Again Out of Jail on Parole

Chandigarh: Rape convict, Gurmeet Ram Rahim, the self-proclaimed godman, who heads Dera Sacha Sauda was again granted a 21-day parole. He was released from the Sunaria jail in Haryana’s Rohtak district on Tuesday.

It is the third temporary release of the rapist godman from jail in 2023.

According to sources, after coming out of jail, Ram Rahim will go to the Dera Sacha Sauda Ashram in Barnawa in Uttar Pradesh’s Baghpat.

He is serving a 20-year jail term for raping two of his disciples.

Earlier he was on a 30-day parole from July 30. In January he was granted a 40-day parole. In October 2022, he was permitted a 40-day parole.

He along with three others was also convicted in 2019 for the murder of a journalist.
