Sahil, Delhi’s Killer Boyfriend Arrested; Had stabbed Delhi Teen & Bludgeoned Her to Death

New Delhi: Sahil, who allegedly murdered his 16-year-old girlfriend in a gruesome manner was arrested by Delhi police on Monday afternoon. A 16-year-old girl was stabbed over 20 times by Sahil, who also crushed her head with a stone in Delhi’s Shahbad Dairy area on Monday.

Sahil has been arrested near Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh. The accused is 20 years old. Six teams had been formed by Delhi police to arrest the accused. According to Delhi police sources, the family of the accused had cooperated with police for his arrest.

National Commission for Women Chairperson Rekha Sharma had written to the Commissioner of Police, Delhi to conduct a fair and time-bound investigation into the matter and to arrest the accused at the earliest.

The body of the victim, a resident of JJ Colony in Shahbad Dairy, was found lying in the street.

“A 16-year-old girl was stabbed 40-50 times and then was hit by a stone multiple times after which she died. All this has been captured on CCTV. Several people saw this but did not pay heed. Delhi has become extremely unsafe for women and girls. I appeal to the central govt to call a high-level meeting with Union HM, Delhi LG, DCW chief and Delhi CM”, said DCW chief Swati Maliwal.

The victim was passing through the street when she was intercepted by the accused, who stabbed her multiple times. The couple was in a relationship but had a quarrel on Saturday.
