Spurious Liquor Kills 3 Persons Including Army Man in Chhattisgarh; Inquiry Ordered

Raipur: Three persons including an army man allegedly died after consuming illicit country-made liquor in the Janjgir-Champa district of Chhattisgarh. Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel said that the incident will be probed and stern action will be moved against the responsible person.

These liquor deaths occurred at Rogda village under Navagarh police station limits on Monday morning. The deceased were identified as Paras Sahu, Nandlal Kashyap (an army man) and Satish Kashyap.

The trio became unconscious on Monday morning after drinking liquor brought by Satish Kashyap. They were admitted to a hospital in Navagarh, where they died.

Navagarh police rushed to the spot and started an investigation. The bodies have been sent for autopsy.

A team of doctors and experts from the Forensic Science Laboratory reached the spot for investigation.

Leader of Opposition in Chattisgarh Assembly Narayan Chandel demanded strict action against the miscreants responsible for the liquor deaths. He demanded Rs 50 lakh compensation for the family of the deceased.
