SRK’s Pathaan is 1st Hindi film shot at frozen Lake Baikal in Siberia

Shah Rukh Khan’s much-awaited ‘Pathaan’ movie promises action sequences never before seen on the Indian screen. It is the first Indian movie to be shot at frozen Lake Baikal in the Siberia region of Russia. A high-speed bike chase sequence on the frozen Lake Baikal is expected to stun the audience.

Director of the movie Siddharth Anand has described the experiences related to the shooting of this action sequence at Lake Baikal. According to him, all cinematic equipment had to be shipped from Moscow to Lake Baikal almost 2000 kilometers away.

Shooting on the frozen lake was also a risky affair.  It was biting cold at the spot. Anand hopes that this action scene of ‘Pathaan’ will make people jump off their seats.

Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, and John Abraham starrer ‘Pathaan’ is produced by Yash Raj Films as the fourth movie of YRF Spy Universe. It is to be released in theatres on January 25, 2023, in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu. Shah Rukh Khan will be seen as Pathaan, a RAW field agent, in the film.
