Srinagar: As many as two civilians were killed while six others sustained injuries in a firing incident in the Dhangri area of the Rajouri district in Jammu and Kashmir.
According to an official statement, at around 7.15 pm, a firing incident occurred in the Upper Dhangri area near a higher secondary school, in the Rajouri district, in which 8 people from one Hindu family, including a woman and a child, were injured.
Two people, identified as Satish and Deepak, succumbed to their injuries while others are undergoing treatment at GMC Rajouri.
Preliminary inquiry from a survivor, who is being treated at GMC, Rajouri, suggests that it was a terror attack in which they got fired upon by the terrorists.
Security forces have reached the spot and a search operation has been launched.
