Talented India will Achieve Outstanding Results, Says Russian President

A shower of praises for Indians came from Russian President Vladimir Putin on Friday. He termed Indians as “talented” and “driven”. According to him, India has much potential and it will achieve outstanding results in terms of development.

While speaking on the occasion of Russia’s Unity Day on November 4, the Russian President came up with these statements on India. He felt, India’s large population is a major strength for development. “Almost one-and-a-half billion people: now that’s potential,” he said.

“Let’s look at India: a talented, very driven people with such a drive for internal development. It (India) will certainly achieve outstanding results. India will achieve outstanding results in terms of its development,” Putin said.

Apart from India’s potential, the Russian President also highlighted colonialism in Africa. He argued that western empires had robbed Africa.

Putin said Russia was a “multinational state” and a “multi-confessional state” that had a “unique civilization and culture.”
