At Bali Yatra 2022, Cashback for Plastic Bottles Returned for Recycling

Cuttack: Visitors to Bali Yatra 2022 may get cash back for every plastic water bottle they return for recycling. As part of its efforts to reduce plastic pollution during Baliyatra, the Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC) is planning to collect back empty plastic water bottles. Special stalls will be set up to get back the empty plastic bottles. The CMC is planning to give a cashback of Rs 5 for the plastic water bottles returned for recycling.

According to CMC sources, around 18 special stalls would be opened up at different places on the Bali Yatra ground. These stalls will also make people aware of the vagaries of plastic pollution. To promote ‘Clean and Green Bali Yatra’, the CMC has set up seven committees with members from various organisations, NGOs, Self-Help Groups.

Bali Yatra 2022 will start from November 8.
