Father Hacks Son for Rs 100 in Mahanga of Cuttack Dist

Cuttack: A man named Manas Behera allegedly hacked his son with a sharp weapon on Monday for Rs 100 at Lalitagiri village under Mahanga police station limits in Cuttack district.

The seriously injured victim has been admitted to the SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack.

As per reports, Manas resorted to this violent act following an altercation with his son over a meager sum of Rs 100 to buy fish. Manas allegedly attacked son with a sharp weapon while the latter was sleeping at home.

Luckily the victim managed to save his life, but he was critically injured in the attack.  Hearing his cry for help, locals reached the spot, overpowered Manas and tied him to a pole.

Getting information, personnel of the Mahanga police station reached the spot and took the accused father into custody.
