Bhubaneswar: Though the southwest monsoon now remains subdued over Odisha, thunderstorms with lightning are very likely to occur at one or two places over several districts in the State. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) Regional Centre, Bhubaneswar on Saturday issued a yellow weather warning, forecasting thunderstorms and lighting for several districts for the next four days.

Day 1 (Valid from 8.30 am of 2.07.2023 to 8.30 am of 3.07.2023)
Yellow Warning- Thunderstorm with lightning is very likely to occur at one or two places over Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar and Dhenkanal districts.
Day 2 (Valid from 8.30 am of 3.07.2023 to 8.30 am of 4.07.2023)
Yellow Warning- Thunderstorm with lightning is very likely to occur at one or two places over Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Kalahandi and Nabarangpur districts.
Day 3 (Valid from 8.30 am of 4.07.2023 to 8.30 am of 5.07.2023)
Yellow Warning- Heavy Rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Nawarangapur, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Nuapada, Gajapati and Ganjam.
Day 4 (Valid from 8.30 am of 5.07.2023 to 8.30 am 6.07.2023)
Yellow Warning- Heavy Rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Nawarangapur, Kalahandi, Bolangir and Nuapada.
