Titanic Sub Owning Company Stops All Operation After Implosion

The operator of the Titan submersible, OceanGate, announced on Thursday that it has suspended all exploration and commercial operations. Titan submersible imploded after going missing in the North Atlantic on June 18.

OceanGate, based in Washington State in the US, provided crewed submersible vessels for tourism, exploration, industry and research.

Its Titan submersible vessel imploded near the famous wreck of the Titanic claiming the lives of five passengers.

After a search of four days, the vessel’s remains were discovered 500 meters from the bow of the Titanic. All inside the Titan submersible vessel were killed when it imploded at a depth of more than 2 miles below the sea surface.
