Truck Loaded With Iron Catches Fire in Odisha’s Keonjhar

Keonjhar: A truck loaded with iron caught fire near the Kalapahad area in Odisha’s Keonjhar district. The iron in the truck was reduced to ashes.

According to reports, the truck was heading from Kashia mines to Deojhar when it caught fire near the Kalapahad area on National Highway 520. Initially, the driver of the truck was unaware of the fire as it was at the rear end.

After seeing the fire, the driver stopped the truck on the side of the road and tried to douse the blaze. However, he was injured while trying to douse the fire.

On being informed, Fire services personnel reached the spot and brought the fire under control.

Overheating of the right tyre of the truck is said to be the reason for the fire.
