Two Female Labourers Die as Tractor Overturns in Ganjam District

Berhampur: Two female workers died when a tractor in which they were travelling overturned at Amundi village under K Nuagaon police station limits in Odisha’s Ganjam district on Sunday evening.

Both deceased were named Jhunu Naik from Chaitanya Chandrapur Sasan village. One was the wife of Madhab Naik, while the other was married to Murali Naik.

The accident occurred while they were returning home after working with a threshing machine. They were crushed under the overturned tractor.

The locals rescued the women and rushed them to the Patrapur Community Health Centre (CHC), where doctors declared one of them ‘brought dead’. The other injured woman was transported to the MKCG Medical College and Hospital in Berhampur, where she succumbed to her injuries.
