Two Go Missing After Boat Capsizes In Malkangiri

Malkangiri: At least two persons went missing after the boat they were travelling by capsized in a river beside Sindiguda village in the Swaviman area of ​​Malkangari district on Tuesday evening.

The two missing persons have been identified as Sajit Kidinga and Balaram Kidinga of Dindiguda village in the district.

According to reports, the incident took place while Sajit and Balaram along with others were returning to their village in the boat after attending a wedding party in Padalput village in neighbouring Andhra Pradesh when the boat reportedly capsized due to being overweight.

On being informed, the Fire Services personnel reached the spot and rescued three people with the help of the locals. However, they could trace Sajit and Balaram.

Rescue operations are underway as both are still missing till the last reports came in.
