New Delhi: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi in a holiday mood hitch-hiked a truck on the Delhi-Chandigarh national highway on his way to Shimla. A video of his truck ride went viral on Tuesday. According to sources, the Congress leader was traveling to his sister Priyanka Gandhi Vadra’s house in Shimla. He took a lift in a truck in Haryana from Murthal to Ambala. During the journey, he spoke to the truck drivers to understand their issues and problems, Congress party sources said.

Late night, he met with truck drivers, have a chat with them, asked them their problems.
He travelled in one of the trucks too, enjoyed the desi music of truck driver.

He reached Haryana’s Murthal around 11 pm and from there he took a truck ride around midnight to reach Ambala.
During his journey from Murthal to Ambala, the Congress leader spoke to the drivers about the issues bothering them the most and how they can be sorted out.
After reaching Ambala, Rahul Gandhi then proceeded towards Himachal Pradesh’s Shimla and reached the city at around 9.30 am.
In the recent past Rahul Gandhi is trying to get close to the general public. In April he visited Bengali Market, Jama Masjid area in Delhi, and enjoyed the street food among the public. He had lunch with the Delhi University students at PG Men’s Hostel. During the election campaign in Karnataka, he took a ride on the bike of a food delivery agent.
