5 Points | Why China is Unable to Tolerate Rising India?

Although it claims to be a socialistic country, China’s attitude towards its neighbours as well as subversive economic policies towards underdeveloped countries in Asia and Africa clearly hints at its expansionist policy. For no plausible reason, China is always trying to poke into Indian territory and internal affairs. As per experts of international relations, the major reason behind this is that China is trying hard to become a major superpower.

The communist Chinese regime feels rising power of India in the international arena is a major obstacle to its dreams. The international community has more faith and support for India and Indians rather than the autocratic communist rule in China. It is under global fire for the COVID pandemic, in Taiwan, and the suppression of people’s voices.

Let’s discuss some points through which India has blurred China’s claim of invincibility. For that only China’s PLA is resorting to mischief like the one they did in the Tawang area of Arunachal Pradesh.

1. India is giving a fitting reply to the Chinese PLA militarily. Be it the Gawan infiltration attempt or the recent Tawang mischief, Indian forces have given strong replies to PLA. Around 45 Chinese soldiers were killed by Indian jawans in Gawan. The entire world had seen India’s strength and commitment to protecting its sovereignty and borders in Ladakh and Arunachal. China is being challenged militarily by India which is being acknowledged across the globe. This is worrying China.

2. India has blocked Chinese companies from investing in India easily. This has prevented China from opting for economic mischief to weaken India from the inside. India has taken several measures to control Chinese investment in the country to ensure no hostile takeover of stressed firms could take place which China wanted to do in India. This was the real intention of Chinese companies supported by its communist rulers. Several Chinese companies are also under government scrutiny for their attempts at tax evasion in India. Added to it several major investors of the western world have started to invest in India withdrawing their investment in China. This is a major worry for the Chinese regime and it has started to grumble against India.

3. China was also hurt when India supported and signed the WHO resolution seeking an independent investigation into the COVID-19 pandemic. India was one of the top supporters and signatories to this resolution, despite China’s objection to the resolution.

4. India has also extended its support to countries like Sri Lanka which suffered nefarious economic intentions of China. India has always voiced its support for Tibet and given shelter to the Tibetan spiritual leader Dalai Lama.

5. India has already banned over 100 Chinese apps including TikTok and PUBG. India did not heed to Chinese argument and gave tit for tat to China. China’s totalitarian regime did not shy to ban some of the biggest apps and sites like Youtube, Twitter, Google etc. The country which is very face of ‘protectionism’ was showed its own real face through bans on Chinese apps in India.

China feels India is the only country in Asia that can check its totalitarian expansionist intentions. Due to fear of international outrage, China is unable to face India directly. So, it is getting into small mischief at the border like what the PLA soldiers did at Tawang of Arunachal Pradesh.
